2004- 2005 Philadelphia Arts and Education Partnership, Grant Recipient. I engaged a classroom of 6th grade students in a cross-cultural study of chairs. The children designed and built scale model chairs and prepared for their museum exhibition held at the Woodmere.

Writer, EDUCATION WEEK, November 3, 2010, article in print and web editions, “How he Arts Lay a Foundation For Learning.” Contributed an article included in FURNITURE STUDIO ONE titled, "A Bridge Between
Art and Life." Distributed through Cambium Press, Bethel, CT, fall 1999. Wrote an article for Furniture Studio Two, titled “Art Furniture,” examining the compromised union of two traditions, fine arts and the design arts within an aspect of the Studio Furniture movement. Winter, 2001.

Curator, Broome Street Gallery, Soho, N.Y.C; Exhibition, "Made in Italy," March, 2007 and will curate a second Il Chiostro exhibition opening in March 2008. Exhibitions consisting of paintings and mixed medium works by artists who participated in Il Chiostro workshops in Italy. In 2007 I selected 80 paintings and mixed medium pieces from over 350 submissions, made recommendations for the hanging and wrote introductory remarks. Curator, Freelance position, Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art: To catalogue and select works for an exhibition of the paintings, sculpture, graphics and music of Mildred Thompson.
